Following Your Highest
Path
Channeled by John Payne
Greetings Beloved ones, this
is omni. For many of you on the path of spiritual growth,
you are often faced with decision regarding your next course
of action, direction of life changing decision. Often there
is a tendency to get caught up in fear, in questions about
what is right or wrong, what you should or should not do,
and what is best at any given time. Some of you even believe
that your highest path will be the most difficult one, that
it will mean making sacrifices, giving up the things that
you like to do, putting yourself second and tolerating
difficult situations that you do not support who you are.
Such beliefs in difficulty are born of the old beliefs that
to serve is to suffer in some way, beliefs that you need to
renounce the ego, joy, pleasure and fun.
We, the Beings of light, are
only serious in our intentions, not in our demeanor. Your
Highest Path will always be the path of joy. If you are
stuck, or simply wondering what your highest path is, and
hat actions you can take to change the direction of your
life, always follow the path of greatest joy. One of your
challenges in doing this is to get your logical mind to
agree with you and go along with your plans. Those things
that lead you onto your Highest Path will always be
expansive, inclusive and will fill you with enthusiasm,
excitement and joy. More often than not, it is your first
impulse, the impulse of inner excitement that will lead in
you in the direction of higher fulfillment. Living a life on
the higher path means living a life of joy. Service to the
light or to higher will does not require you to become a
slave to the light. You were meant to have a life of joy and
your life was designed to be filled with those activities,
people and things that bring you the greatest joy.
If you have a decision to
make, imagine that there are two roads in front of you. One
road leads off to one decision, and the other, to your
second option. Imagine walking down both paths. Let go of
any feelings of what is right or wrong, let go of all the
should dos and donts, and simply feel what it is that you
feel. Notice your breathing, it is tight, or is it expanded.
Your body will always show you through its reaction that
path which holds the most light and joy for you, for your
soul works through your body. Many of you place too much
emphasis on serving others when deciding to expand your work
out into the world, or you get caught up in what you
logically think is possible for you to do in the area in
which you live. Although service is the highest motivation
for taking your work out to the world, and a sense of
service will attract more opportunities to serve to you, you
need to include your own needs. When you are doing the
things that you love to do, you will automatically be more
open to helping and serving individuals that you come into
contact with, and humanity as a whole. When you follow your
joy and excitement Divine energies will flow through you
more easily and therefore make your service to others more
empowering.
Many people have come to me
for a private consultation and when I ask them what it is
that they wish to do with their lives, most people answer
that they wish to help other people. More often than not,
this answer is stimulated by a need to say the right thing,
do the right thing, or from a need to please a perceived
higher authority. I say unto you, that the most effective
way to serve other people, is to serve yourself by choosing
a life of joy. Being on the spiritual path does not mean
ignoring your inner impulses that take you towards joy, in
fear that they are requests from the ego, but it means
following the path of excitement, for that is the road that
your soul wishes to take you on. You are a multi dimensional
being and you exist simultaneously in the higher dimensions
as well as being present on planet earth. You soul lives in
a state of bliss, love and ecstasy. Qualities such as joy,
enthusiasm, excitement, laughter, fun and happiness are all
soul qualities.
Therefore, when deciding upon
a path of service, choose the path that holds these feelings
the most. Follow your excitement and joy, and all good
things will come to you. As you follow your excitement,
clients, patients, customers and students will be attracted
to you. You will be more radiant and the light that you send
out will heal some people simply by being present in your
energy. Put aside all beliefs that tell you that service is
hard work. It is play, and you were meant to have a life
filled with joy, so go forth and do so!
