Dave Gregg: What is spiritual growth?

Omni: Spiritual Growth is the process through which our soul becomes conscious, and therefore more dominant on the earth plane. It is the greater purpose of our Soul to master earth life. When we use the term Master, we refer to the ability to experience the oneness with All-That-Is, which leads to the full realization of your creative abilities.

Many of us assume that we are here on the earth plane in order to evolve, evolve in the sense that our soul, or our being, is in some way inferior to that which is higher and is therefore confined to the realm of the physical until it evolves sufficiently to be focused elsewhere. This translates into the belief that we are not good enough, fall short of grace and are in some way inferior to non-physical beings. This is not so!

The earth plane, the world of matter is but one of many, many, many realities. We have neatly divided and sub-divided our view of the Universe into a hierarchy of realities, Physical, Astral, Causal, Mental, Christ/Buddhaic etc, however, within each of these vibrational differentiations are multiple realities, multiple universes and multiple worlds which all form the PLAYGROUND of the soul.

The Earth plane is but a reality that our soul has chosen to master, nothing more, nothing less. It knew ahead of time that a part of it would associate so fully with the earth plane that it would forget its very essence and indeed forget its whole reason for being present in the physical. The long-term goal of the soul is to become fully present, fully conscious on the earth plane. Its desire is be conscious creator here as it is in the higher vibrations of reality. This process of becoming conscious has hitherto been a lengthy process, taking many hundreds, sometimes even thousands of lifetimes. Becoming conscious on the Earth plane means the simultaneous realization of you as being one with the source whilst being fully human. This was expressed by the one in Christ who said I am the Father are one, in other words I am at one with the Source of All-That-Is. Being one with the source of All-That-Is gives one the ability to turn water into wine, one fish into five thousand fish. It gives one the ability to see into the molecular structure of water so that walking upon it becomes a mere act of scientific understanding. It is not a miracle, miracles do not occur. All miracles are shifts of consciousness that give us a glimpse into you Divine Self, your Eternal Source Self, Miracles are a glimpse of our own Divinity and how we, you, are the source of ALL-THAT-IS in your life.

As we have already shared, Spiritual Growth is the process of becoming conscious.  So, what is the measure of our spiritual growth?

The ONLY measure of our Spiritual Growth is our ability to LOVE. Truly, we say to you today, yesterday and tomorrow, that the ONLY measure of our Spiritual Growth is our capacity for LOVE. Love is not ingratiation, it is not being kind, polite or  being nice. Love is the complete and total acceptance of what is, and that starts with ourselves. As we accept ourselves, we accept others, as we cease judging ourselves, we cease judging others, as we love ourselves, we love others. It really is as simple as that, for we are the center of our own Universe.

The other obstacle to spiritual growth is resistance. So many of us are blaming the world, blaming our parents, blaming the politicians, blaming the institutions, the corporations, the money men and the industrialists for our woes. But we say clearly that  there is not one, NOT ONE, out there who is our enemy, not one out there who can exert themselves against us without our permission, either conscious or sub-conscious. How do we give our permission to another to exert themselves against us? We do so by aligning ourselves with them vibrationally, and that is done with and through thought. Think in toxic ways, ways that pollute our body, and pollution will be drawn, think in violent ways towards ourselves, and violence will be drawn to us. Control our natural urges, limit our creativity, belittle and limit ourselves, our true nature, say that we are less than, then authorities that seek to do the same will exert themselves against us, or so we will think, but indeed, it is us, it has always been us, it has never been anyone else but us. We are the law in our life; we are the way, the truth and the light, none other. What we say goes. We are the boss. Insist on believing that we are powerless, and powerlessness is what we will experience.

Resistance is lack of acceptance, love is acceptance. As we accept the world and all who are in it, we begin to experience non-attachment, as we experience non-attachment, the creative force of the Universe is at our fingertips. Indeed, it is so that when we give up being attached to having things a certain way, we are then totally free to create whatever we want and to have the things exactly as we want them!

As we are towards others is how we are towards yourself. Those who are critical of others are critical of themselves, those who judge others, judge themselves, those who belittle others, belittle themselves. What we do unto others, we do unto ourself. For in truth, we can only give to another that which we are prepared to give unto ourselves. Criticize ourselves, we will criticize others, judge ourselves, we will judge others. Therefore, we say to you, do no chastise yourself when you notice your lack of acceptance in all its forms towards others, but embrace them as signposts directing you in the direction of greater acceptance and greater love. Indeed the greatest love of all is the love we have for ourselves.

We must use our inadequacies to assist us in seeing what is asking for transformation within us. we cannot do this successfully by simply forcing ourselves not to judge and not to criticize, for this does not solve the real problem at hand, for the real issue is our relationship with ourselves. Each time we resist another; it is an inner request for more love.

The key to spiritual growth is acceptance. Acceptance of the physical, acceptance of self, and acceptance of the world we have co-created with humanity.  The great Master said know thyself, this is as wise commandment, for as we know ourselves, we will see that indeed our greatest need and our greatest longing is love, for we were created in love, and we went forth from the Source in love.  Today as you consider the question of Spiritual Growth, take a few moments to tap into your deep longing to love, for that is the deepest desire of all Divine Beings, to love. So many of us believe that we are bereft of love and desire to be loved, but we say to you, that at our very core is a deep yearning, a deep calling, a call to the return to love. Acknowledge this call; listen to it, allow yourself to feel it. As you feel it, allow it to well up inside you, if tears come, that is fine, if fear comes, that is fine, if sadness comes, that too if fine. For love conquers all, love permeates all, love is All-That-Is.

Each and every one of us is a sub-division of the greater whole, each of us an extension of that which is non-physical, that which IS, the All-That-Is. As creation sprang forth out of nothingness, the All-That-Is looked upon all things with great acceptance in her heart. As he looked at what she had created, there was peace, there was acceptance, for all that has been created lives within the All-That-Is, indeed, is the All-That-Is. How could anything be separate from God? It could not, it is not. All is acceptable, all is loved, all is love.  We desire to be like God do we not? Then, love is the first law, the last law, it is the beginning and the end, it is the journey and the destination, there is no higher goal than love, and no journey that is more exquisite than love. Love is all my beloved friends. How is our love today? How do you love the person you see in the mirror? When will we finally acknowledge that your deepest desire is to love? When will we finally give up the resistance to the call of the heart? When will we allow the finger of God to touch you in your most tender parts? When will we embrace ourselves and say, All is well with me? When? The choice is ours; we have all of eternity to make up our mind. We can return to love right now, in a few moments, in an hour, a week from now, a year perhaps, or several lifetimes from now. One thing is for certain, we will return to love, that is a given, all souls return to love, for it is the very stuff of the Universe, it is the foundation of existence, of all realities. Take a moment now to go within. Get quiet, and feel a place within you that is in the center of your body, behind the area of the navel. In this spot, just in front of the spine, deep within you, is a light; this place carries your souls will to love. Visualize this, breath into this area, will it to awaken, and feel this flame of Divine Desire, feel it, feel it, feel it. Allow it to build within you until you can exclaim that you want to love, that you want to love so much that it is your all consuming desire. Be not afraid of this place, for it is your salvation, your liberation, your ticket home, for home is where love is. It is not a place, not a dimension, not another planet, but it is where love prevails and where love is the guiding and building force in your life. Live life beloveds, love life! Love love itself, for it is who you are!

Often we get tied in worrying about the planet, being very concerned about planetary conditions, which allows us to take our attention away from ourselves. We need to remind ourselves  that ALL external circumstances are reflections of our inner world, the world of thought and of emotion. The condition of our planet, which is the creation of the collective consciousness within, it is our mirror. Our world, the Earth, is a belief system. Our senses tell us that it is a physical world, but it is far from physical, it is energy that has gathered together into density and has created form. All energy, whether physical or non-physical is molded by thought. Thought is the originator, the creator, the source of all things. You, we, all things, exist within the Mind of God, the All-That-Is. We spring forth from the non-local world of energy, intelligence and information.

Our planet is a reflection of the collective consciousness upon it, and our problems and challenges are reflections of the stage of evolution we are currently at. Humanity is now beginning to move away from being the ruler of the planet, and there is a glimmer here and there, that is gradually becoming a new light, like a golden dawn, where increasing numbers of us are beginning to understand that as one of the sentient species within our system, our role is as steward.

Solutions to these problems exist. They exist within our minds, within our hearts, and they exist as technology. All technology that will ever exist exists already, the information exists in the non-local world of energy, the realm of our Soul. However, we must conceive of the possibility that it exists, before we can manifest it. Those of us who are concerned about the environment do as much to add to the pollution on the planet by adding our thoughts of this is an impossible situation and the world is sick and dying. Worlds do not die, they simply evolve and transform. Species do not become extinct, they discover other possibilities, they return to the non-local world of Soul, from whence they came. Nothing, NO THING, is ever lost in the Universe. How could it be, all exists within the All-That-Is, and within the All-That-Is is All-That-Was and All-That-Will-Ever-Be. NO THING is ever lost, it simply cannot be!

Our world is polluted with fear, it is contaminated with anguish, it is poisoned with self-loathing, it is tainted with doubt, and it is defiled with the lie that we are not loved. This is the greatest pollution. Uranium is but a mineral, these other things are cancers that eat away at the spirit of humanity, at our own spirit if we allow it.

As we experience our inner world, so it will be in our outer world. As we allow ourselves to pollute with and be contaminated by fear, doubt and feelings of worthlessness, so it will be that we will manifest outer pollution. What would a species need to believe about itself in order to create such things? Surely, we have forgotten that we are God and that we are loved beyond all measure. Our challenge is not the outer pollution, for that will solve itself in time, the real challenge is the pollution of our mind and emotions. That is the greater challenge. But alas, most of us prefer to focus on that which is external. Most of us prefer to blame others, say it is the young, or the uneducated, or the power hungry that are to blame. After all, is it not the young souls that are the cause of all our misery? So why do we blame? Why do we point fingers? We do so for we are too afraid to face the real challenge, and that challenge is love.

The two great pollutants on our planet are these. I am not loved/worthy and I am powerless. Which of us is ready to say to your fellow human my greatest desire is to love and I am ready to show you who I truly am so that you may also be who you truly are? Which of us is ready to say, I and the Father are one? Which of us? The Master once said before the cock crows, you will deny me three times. He spoke to us, for in observation ourselves, we all deny the God/Goddess within habitually. However, our quest to express love must come from a place of authenticity, and that authenticity comes from equal to all who share our world with us. Equal to the spiritual and the non-spiritual alike. Equal to poverty and wealth, equal to health and sickness, equal to love and to hate, equal to intelligence and stupidity, equal to beauty and ugliness, for all of these things are a part of us.

As we are ready to embrace our greater truth, this will spread like pollen amongst all people, and fertilize humanity for change. As we open to our greater selves, we open to the source of all knowing, and it is there that all our solutions will be found. As allow ourselves to become equal to all conditions, then spiritual arrogance falls away, and we find ourselves on the path of true love, the complete and total acceptance of what it. From this place, of equality with all that is, we can create real change, it is the birthplace of miracles. It is true to say, that the way in which we will change the world, is through changing ourselves. As we change, as we allow our light, our essence, our love to shine forth, we radiate a new vibration, a vibration that can be felt by those around us when we are in an authentic place of peace and equality. As we do this, they too begin to resonate with us, some immediately, and some in time. This is our greatest service to humanity. However, who are we to dictate who must grow, evolve and change? The only measure of spiritual growth, is our capacity to love, and that starts with you and I. We can only give to others what we ourselves posses and we can only receive from others that which we are prepared to give unto ourselves. We are the centre, we are the world, we are creator!

We must teach through example. Love ourselves, and show others in confident ways how a new relationship can be formed with the planet, her peoples and  with all her creatures and with the creative force of the Universe. It is us, the seekers and askers of such questions that are the healers and leaders of this so-called New Age. We must cease being angry at the world, cease bemoaning that we are still here, ceases slipping and sliding into spiritual arrogance and own our deepest desire. Own our will to love, breathe it, feel it, walk it, be it! There is much love for us here, and it has right under our noses, literally, all the time, in the heart..
